Rail and intermodal arrangements are reviewed against the cargo, terminal connections, and flexibility of the delivery schedule.
Include the first and last legs
A rail-and-truck movement needs a plan for the road connections as well as the rail portion. Explain whether the origin and destination have direct rail access or require transportation between a facility and a terminal.
Compare the complete proposal
Evaluate timing and charges for the full movement, including equipment and terminal handoffs. For recurring freight, supply the expected shipment frequency and any consistent loading restrictions.
